Data Capture and Processing Module
The Data Capture and Processing Module (DCPM) was motivated out of the need to provide the industry with a robust and reliable, yet cost effective data capture and processing platform for industrial vehicles. This platform facilitates monitoring of vehicle data buses and custom sensor networks. Data is presented in an easy to use framework, from which custom algorithms and applications can be run to generate meaningful vehicle metrics.
The platform supports a variety of vehicle related peripherals, such as CAN, RS232, RS485, USB and is coupled to a powerful ARM based processing core. The platform incorporates GPS tagging of the data and supports uploading via interfaces such as 3G, Wi-Fi and Ethernet. The DCPM is being utilized successfully in a number of South American, Australian and South African open pit mining operations.
